IS RUDY REALLY A REPUBLICAN?

That is a question a lot of GOPers will be asking themselves over the next several months as they decide who to back for president.

Based on his stance on social issues, a lot of party members have their doubts.
Is it possible even Giuliani himself is having trouble deciding?

Newsday today reports the former New York mayor still hasn't taken the step of forming an exploratory committee to run for the GOP nomination.
More surprising, the newspaper reports, is that in another FEC paper he recently filed he left the "party affiliation" box blank.

The omission is leaving some to wonder whether Giuliani is leaving some room to run as an independent if he sees that Republican's right flank is buying his candidacy.
